Hatton favored in return to ring

Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton returns to the ring on May 24 with a tune-up bout against Juan Lazcanos for the IBO Light Welterweight title.
This will be Hatton's first fight since he suffered the first defeat of his professional career against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Hatton suffered a TKO in the tenth round, dropping his career record to 43-1.
Out of those 43 victories, 31 came by knockout and it wouldn't be a surprise to see Hatton add another to his tally versus Lazcano.
Hatton should be motivated to put on a good show for the fans, considering the fight is taking place at the City of Manchester Stadium in his hometown of Manchester, England. Is this something that boxing bettors can take to the bank?
The oddsmakers at expect Hatton to bounce back from his loss to Mayweather and easily defeat Lazcano, pegging him as a -1300 favorite on the boxing odds.
Lazcano could show some ring rust in this bout, as he hasn't fought since February 2007. That fight was against Vivian Harris and Lazcano came out on the losing end of a unanimous decision.
After the loss Lazcano's career record stands at 37-4-1, with 27 wins by knockout. Lazcano is a big underdog against Hatton, listed at +700 on the boxing lines at .
