Hot Perry leads John Deere Classic odds

The PGA Tour stops in Silvis, Illinois this week for the John Deere Classic at the TPC at Deere Run.
The favorite at heading into Thursday's opening round is Kenny Perry at 8/1. Judging by how Perry has been tearing up every course he's played on lately that shouldn't come as a surprise.
Perry has won two of his last four tournaments, with victories in the Memorial Tournament and the Buick Open. Perry also tied for sixth place in the Travelers Championship four weeks ago, and finished second in the AT&T Classic in mid-May.
Following Perry on the odds list is Aaron Baddeley at 20/1, while Carl Pettersson and Zach Johnson both check in at 25/1. Baddeley's best finish this season came in the Verizon Heritage in April where he ended up second, but he's finished well back in his last four Tour stops.
Pettersson has recorded two Top-10 finishes in his last three tournaments, while Johnson has had a down year so far with only one Top-10 finish all season.
At last year's John Deere Classic Jonathan Byrd recorded his third career Tour win. Byrd ended up 18-under to finish one stroke ahead of Tim Clark. Byrd finished fourth at the AT&T Classic back in May, but he's struggled since, missing two cuts and failing to crack the Top 50 in two other tournaments.
He is a 30/1 underdog to repeat at . Other former Classic winners returning to Deere Run this week include 2006 winner John Senden (40/1), 2005 winner Sean O'Hair (30/1), and 2004 winner Mark Hensby (60/1).
