If you had to pick one opening-round NBA playoff series to go seven games before the postseason began, it's highly unlikely Boston versus Atlanta would have been at the top of your list.

The Hawks reaching Game 7 in their series with the Celtics would have sounded ludicrous just a few weeks ago. Before Game 1 even tipped off, the Celtics were a -5000 favorite to win this series at ; now Boston is in danger of being eliminated in the opening round.

Atlanta extended the series to a seventh and deciding game with a 103-100 win on Friday night. The Hawks were a 9-point underdog on the pointspread, and even trailed by 12 points at the end of the first quarter, but still fought back to pull off the upset.

Marvin Williams led Atlanta with 18 points despite missing most of the fourth quarter after suffering a sprained knee. Williams' status for Sunday's game is up in the air, and his absence would be a big loss for the Hawks.

However, on Friday all five Atlanta starters and a total of six Hawks scored in double digits, including Mike Bibby who had a big night with 17 points, six rebounds, and seven assists, and Al Horford who poured in 16 points.

Kevin Garnett scored 22 points to go along with seven rebounds and six assists to lead the Celtics, while Ray Allen added 20 points and Paul Pierce deposited 17 points before fouling out in the fourth quarter.

The Celtics can take some consolation in the fact that the home team has won every game of this series so far, and Game 7 will be played in Boston.
