With a pair of berths in the Final Four up for grabs Xavier battles UCLA and Louisville looks for a win versus North Carolina in Saturday’s Elite Eight action. The Musketeers were nearly bounced from the tournament on Thursday night before B.J. Raymond stepped up in overtime. Raymond scored all eight of his points in OT, which included two clutch three-pointers, as Xavier edged West Virginia 79-75 as a 1.5-point underdog.
Josh Duncan led the Musketeers with a career-high 26 points in the win, while C.J. Anderson added 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Bruins rode quite a rollercoaster in their 88-78 win over Western Kentucky on Thursday night. UCLA appeared to have the game in hand after taking a 21-point lead into the half, only to watch the Hilltoppers fight back and pull within four points in the second half.

The Cardinals sent No. 2 seed Tennessee home on Thursday night after dumping the Volunteers 79-60 as a 2-point favorite. Louisville shot an impressive 52 percent in the win, with Earl Clark netting a team-high 17 points to go along with 12 rebounds.
Andre McGee and Jeremy Smith each added 13 points for Louisville, while Terrence Williams delivered 12 points and eight rebounds.
The Tar Heels’ offense took a backseat to their defense on Thursday night when they defeated Washington State 68-47 as a 9-point favorite.
North Carolina held the Cougars to 31 percent shooting, limiting them to only 2-of-16 shots from three-point range. Tyler Hansbrough scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead North Carolina in the win, while Danny Green added 15 points and Wayne Ellington delivered 13 points and eight rebounds.
