AFL Sunday Preview

There are three games on tap for AFL fans and bettors on Sunday, including Orlando at Grand Rapids, Arizona at Tampa Bay, and Columbus at New York.
Orlando at Grand Rapids
The Predators edged Chicago 57-56 as a 4.5-point underdog last week on a last-second two-point conversion run by fullback Marlon Moye-Moore. Shane Stafford passed for 255 yards with six touchdowns and four interceptions for Orlando, while T.T. Toliver hauled in nine passes for 111 yards with three TDs.
The Rampage were upset by New York 63-34 as a 6.5-point favorite in Week 6. Grand Rapids quarterback James MacPherson struggled in the loss with 235 yards passing, three touchdowns, and four interceptions. Kenny Higgins led Grand Rapids with nine catches for 140 yards and a touchdown.
The Predators and Rampage haven’t clashed since way back in 2002 when Grand Rapids knocked off Orlando 69-55 as a 5.5-point favorite. In Sunday’s game the Predators are a 2.5-point favorite at .
Arizona at Tampa Bay
The Rattlers were on a bye last week, and they last took to the field in Week 5 when they lost to Chicago 59-35 as a 17-point underdog. Jeff Smoker passed for 179 yards with four touchdowns, but he also threw three interceptions and was sacked four times. Siaha Burley had a big game for Arizona in the loss with nine receptions for 86 yards and four touchdowns.
The Storm failed to convert on a last-second touchdown drive last week in their 51-49 loss to Columbus as a 4.5-point favorite. Storm quarterback Brett Diets threw for 260 yards with six TD passes and an interception, while David Saunders had six catches for 90 yards and three touchdowns.
Tampa Bay defeated Arizona 59-50 as a 5-point favorite last season, and the Storm are a lofty 14-point favorite in Sunday’s game at .
Columbus at New York
The Destroyers clipped Tampa Bay 51-49 as a 4.5-point underdog in Week 6. Matt Nagy had six touchdowns passes while throwing for 223 yards in the win, while Derek Lee caught 11 passes for 76 yards and four TDs.
The Dragons crushed Grand Rapids 63-34 as a 6.5-point underdog last week. New York QB Aaron Garcia torched the Rampage for 311 yards with seven touchdowns and two interceptions, and he also ran in for a score. Chris Anthony led all Dragons receivers with 10 receptions for 92 yards and four touchdowns.
Columbus and New York faced off twice last season and the Destroyers won and covered the spread in both contests. In Sunday’s matchup the Dragons are a slim 2.5-point favorite.
