Stars underdogs to extend NHL West Final

The Dallas Stars staved off elimination in Game 4 on Wednesday night, and after three days off the Stars will need to find a way to win back in Detroit in the always-tough Joe Louis Arena.
Oddsmakers have placed pretty high odds against that happening back in Detroit where Dallas never wins.
Dallas avoided getting swept by Detroit with a 3-1 win in Game 4. Loui Eriksson, Mike Modano and Brenden Morrow all scored as Dallas recorded more than two goals in a game for the first time in the series. Marty Turco bounced back from a disappointing performance in Game 3 to stop 33 of the 34 shots Detroit threw at him.
The lone goal for Detroit in the loss came off the stick of Henrik Zetterberg, who now has 10 goals and a team-high 19 points in the playoffs. Chris Osgood made 19 saves in a somewhat shaky performance in nets.
Wednesday night's loss snapped Detroit's nine-game playoff winning streak, but they should feel very confident that they can close out the series at home in Game 5 on Saturday night.
The Wings are undefeated at home so far in the postseason at 7-0, while during the regular season they owned the best home record in the league at 29-9-3.
The oddsmakers at expect the Wings to advance to the Stanley Cup final on Saturday, setting them as a big -220 favorite.
