Jimmy's poker weekend didn't go very well last week. I didn't win my free trip to the World Series of Poker, and I didn't even make it into the $150,000 guaranteed tourney I had targeted at  CityPoker.com [1].

I'm not giving up though, and have my eyes on the same tourneys this weekend.

The time is quickly running out on chances to win a  CityPoker.com [2] WSOP Satellite and pick up a $12,000 WSOP main event package. The buy-in is still $215 and my poker account is still lacking those kind of funds, so I'll have to win my way in through a qualifier.

I played in a $5.00 qualifier last week and got bounced after my pocket Aces got beat on a bad card on the turn. I'll try another $5.00 qualifier this week and hopefully avoid another bad beat.

The  CityPoker.com [3] $150,000 guaranteed tourney has a cheaper buy-in of $162, but that's still above my limit. I tried to get in through a $6.00 rebuy/add-on tourney last week and ended up rebuying once and taking the add-on.

I made it to the final 20 players, but ended up getting knocked out in 18th place after the cards turned on me. Only the Top 6 finishers moved on so I came up short.

I have another $6.00 rebuy tourney in my sights for Saturday, and this time I'm moving on. Check out all kind of great bonuses and freerolls at CityPoker.com [4].
