The Los Angeles Lakers can take a 3-0 lead with another victory against the Jazz on Saturday night, while Utah needs a win to avoid falling into what may very well be an inescapable hole in the NBA playoffs.

Los Angeles took a 2-0 series lead on Wednesday night after toppling Utah 120-110 as a 6.5-point favorite. Kobe Bryant scored a game-high 34 points and added eight rebounds and six assists after picking up his MVP trophy before the game.

Derek Fisher chipped in with 22 points and Pau Gasol deposited 20 points in the win. The Lakers took advantage of Utah's mistakes in the victory, as they hit 35-of-43 shots from the foul line after Utah's fouls quickly added up.

Deron Williams scored 25 points and handed out 10 assists to lead the Jazz, while Paul Milsap delivered 17 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. Carlos Boozer had a disappointing night for Utah with only 10 points after foul trouble limited him to only seven minutes in the first half.

 
Utah will have to play more disciplined in Game 3 after registering 30 fouls in Game 2. The oddsmakers at expect the change of venue to kickstart the Jazz, setting Utah as a 4-point favorite on the NBA odds for Game 3.

Looking ahead to Saturday, there are a couple games on the schedule as Boston takes on Cleveland in Game 3 and Detroit faces Orlando in Game 4. The Cavaliers will hope for some better luck in their series heading back to Cleveland, while the Magic can even up their series against Detroit at 2-2 with another victory at home on Saturday.

Pistons guard Chauncey Billups is expected to play in Saturday's game after a hamstring injury limited him to just under four minutes in Detroit's 111-86 loss to Orlando in Game 3.

Sunday's NBA slate includes of pair of Game 4's, as the Lakers and Jazz clash once again and New Orleans takes on San Antonio in a big game for the Spurs.
